2006.03.16.1419 :: rockin the bank vault like my name was danny ocean

i played a gig last week in berlin that turned out to be in a bank vault. i can't even explain how awesome the space was. giant, steel doors underground bunker style. they also put a huge soundsystem in there that was totally awesome until something malfunctioned during my set and the right channel kept cutting out.

despite the sound problems, my set itself was pretty wicked, so i uploaded my recording of it: atomly - live dubstep in berlin 2006/03/09. if you'd like, check out the tracklisting.

in addition to that, europe has been insanely awesome. i left immediately after the dubstep show for a flight to london (my third time there in two months... i went there the weekend before to meet up with rob and to check out dmz, which was absolutely amazing) to meet a bunch of friends and we partied there for a few days, then headed to amsterdam for two nights and now they all came back with us to berlin and they'll be here through sunday.

berlin is even better than i imagined it would be. i've met totally awesome people here and the city totally operates at exactly my pace. people are super laid back but love to have fun, everybody is super nice and everything is insanely cheap. totally perfect.
