2006.01.11.1041 :: ich bin krank und verärgert

i'm sick as crap right now, but i've decided to use the opportunity to check out rosetta stone. this shit is so awesome. i tried learning arabic yesterday morning but it made my head hurt too much, so i'm going with german for now. it's a damn good thing i have this, too-- i'd probably be cutting myself and writing goth poetry by now if i didn't have it because my sidekick is broken and my wireless doesn't work in my bedroom. yes, that means i'm blogging this from the floor of my living room. it's the only place i can steal my neighbor's wireless. haha.

last night nicole was super awesome and brought me dinner and since i was going stir crazy, she got matt and we all saw match point. it was a bit clumsy in parts and weirdly paced, but i still liked it a lot... probably my favorite woody allen movie in at least ten years. it's too bad i'm completely bored with scarlett johansson, though. i liked her so much in her early career, but i think maybe i just like her when she plays a certain character (the cute, sarcastic indie girl in "ghost world" or "lost in translation", which is probably just a prejudice of mine) and i'm definitely not into the whole hollywood starlet revival thing she's been going for the last few years.
