new york was a ton of fun. i spent pretty much the whole time hanging out with kendra, jeff and jaime instead of doing anything new york related. i think the only "new york" things we did were eating at nobu and getting a bagel in brooklyn. my gig went even better than i expected and i had a ton of fun. it was great to see new york people out (zoe, derek, greg, etc.) and even some i totally didn't expect (brandon and siezer) and i was really happy with my set.

got back to chicago in time for nye (after coming *this* close to staying in nyc for derek and dan bell @ wolf + lamb) and had a rockin time. it was great to see almost all of my close friends in one place partying that hard. also great to see a guy so drunk that he ate a $20 bill, puked in the toilet, pulled the pieces of bill out of the toilet and then attempted to re-assemble the bill on the coffee table. jesus.

played my last grime! night on monday and it was pretty cool. i feel bad leaving that, but i'm sure it'll still be rockin with out me. and, speaking of gigs, i'm playing at sonotheque tomorrow (tonight) for the last installment of funk the mental. people should come out and support what has been a criminally underrated night.

i'm a bit too tired to write anything of substance, but i figured i needed an update. better things when i'm more awake, i suppose... including movies of the drunk guy.
