2005.12.26.1430 :: hot hand

my obsession of the last few weeks: Threes. yes, i wrote the article. yes, i'm a total nerd. yes, rob and i also wrote software to model the game. yes, we're working on an online multiplayer version. it's seriously the raddest game ever because you can play it anywhere and for any amount of time. i've recently played it in line at hot doug's, waiting for a movie to start, in line and sitting at a table at nick's (which actually made that place tolerable), etc... love it.

i'm in vegas for christmas and it's weird. this is my first 70 degree christmas, but it's definitely something i could get used to. also, it's nice being somewhere that doesn't completely shutdown on holidays so that there's more to do than just see a film. not like i don't see movies constantly-- movies on christmas (or opening weekend) are like drinking on new year's eve... total amateur hour. haha.

i'm headin back to chi tonight then it's off to nyc on thursday for my show at subtonic on friday night and then back to chi on saturday for nye. i'm so sick of airports, especially during holiday season (see previous paragraph).
