2005.11.15.1933 :: your formula life

this weekend turned out as awesome as i'd expected. derek, jeff and eliot all showed up in chicago on friday and we went to see derek at smartbar. it wasn't the best set i've seen out of derek, but that still makes it one of the best techno sets i've seen this month.

jeff, eliot, johnny and i played at tini on saturday and it turned out great. eliot and jeff were as great as you'd expect and it was a ton of fun to hang out with them. between their sets, they did live acid with jeff's tr-606 and sh-101 and it was pretty rad.

johnny and i did a two laptop set, mine running ableton and his running traktor, with our computers synced via MIDI, which basically allowed us to do the equivalent of a 2x4 dj set, but with a ton of flexibility. there has already been some interest in more bookings for the southside hitmen, which is awesome, because it was really fun and i think we could do a lot of cool stuff with it.
