2005.11.08.1956 :: post-irony and the neo-sincerity movement

last week i (only half-jokingly) declared myself "post-irony" to my friends. i'm not sure what brought it on, but i'm really tired of the whole jaded/sarcastic/ironic thing that has taken over the better part of modern "hipster" culture. therefore, i now ascribe the "neo-sincerity" movement, meaning i will try to be as sincere as possible in my life and my artistic output. i think we need a manifesto.
