2005.06.21.1656 :: pourin some out

last night was the final $3 martini monday at MOD., which is something i'm going to miss but something i think we needed to get over anyway. tuesdays have been a little painful this year, but in a good way.

it's weird how much has changed this year. my brother and his wife moved to alaska, my parents are moving to vegas in two weeks, my friends are getting married and buying houses, lots of people are moving, not to mention alicia's passing... growing up is too much work.

this is all for the best, though, because i really had settled into a happy little rut and that's never a good thing. lots of partying is lots of fun, but not really a viable long-term plan. between the new release, the itunes stuff, the shirts, a lot of shows and a fall tour of europe with enduser, i'm finally starting to take music seriously again (after a few years of screwing around), which is awesome. i shouldn't look at it as work since it's something i enjoy and just lets me embrace my peter pan complex.

also, i'm determined to carry my camera with me more and to be a little better about blogging, because it's nice to be able to look back on things. i've never been one for organizing or cataloging my life (the curse of a good memory is that you rely on it completely), but i think it's something i want to try to do more.
