2005.06.09.1317 :: an indescribable loss

as a lot of you already know, my close friend alicia frantz passed away last friday on her 32nd birthday while biking to work.

i just wanted to say thank you to everybody who has poured out their support in the last few days, you people are all amazing. i feel lucky to have such great friends and i think alicia would be really proud of how everybody pulled together like this.

as part of a memorial to her, we are planning to put together a compilation of music made with some of her field recordings, so i've started working on a song based around this recording from march 2003, since that night is one of my favorite memories involving my group of friends and alicia's recordings.

for an idea of how amazing a person she was, you should read j3s's eulogy. she really was an inspiration to me and i hold on to a lot of fond memories of her.

i can't believe how much i already miss her.
