2005.05.04.0308 :: coast to coast, la to chicago

coachella was, as expected, the jam. i wasn't as into the music as i was last year, but it's pretty hard to top last year's lineup. of course the best part of the trip was partying with friends... hell, i didn't even get to the festival until like 6pm on sunday because alicia and i got sidetracked at this totally awesome vegetarian restaurant that i recommend everybody go to if they're in the area. so awesome.

the big news, though, is that my laptop is finally back and in working order. i got home tonight and finally installed the copy of reaktor i got for playing at rodan (thank you, jrick and native instruments!) and upgraded to renoise 1.5, which is completely the jam. they added almost every feature i've asked for, including the one i've been bugging taktik for for years.

i'm psyched to actually get some good work done on music— it's been way too long since i've done anything other than make some loops for my live sets. speakikng of, i have a few awesome gigs in the works right now, so i'll obviously post them up once they're confirmed.
