2004.11.12.1200 :: i ditched gwar

our liar's club night was last night and GWAR played the house of blues. so after their show apparently one of them knew herb from liar's club and they came over with a bunch of nerdy metal groupies and fanboys. somehow i started talking to oderus urungus and mentioned that we were going to keep partying so at 2 he comes over to me, leans over and whispers "i wanna ditch these losers. do you guys have room for two more?" so oderus urungus and johnny chainsaw got into marlon's car with me and johnny love and we went to crobar. we had no trouble getting in because that guy who thinks we're actually important was working the door (we didn't even have to tell them who GWAR was).

we get in and go up to the bar that red hair matt is bartending in the rock room and introduce him to GWAR, but he is a total dick about it. he's like "yeah, you're in GWAR and i'm a size 3" and then looks at johnny and me and says "are you guys in GWAR too now?" he still gave us a few drinks and we hung out for a while, but then it was like 3:30 in the morning and i was bored and knew i had to work today and then drive to minneapolis right after that, so i grabbed johnny and said "let's go." so we ditched GWAR with marlon but then marlon saw me walking down the stairs and came running, caught us right by the front door (i should mention that fucking "sandstorm" by darude was playing) and said he wanted to come with. so we all ditched GWAR at crobar and i'm not really sure what happened from there. as i walked out mr. chainsaw was in line for the bathroom and oderus was trying to hit on some girl.

i felt bad for ditching them because they were really nice (and how can you hate on a man you've seen with a giant codpiece shooting fake blood while he's chopping off a rubber baby's head?), but it's pretty rowdy to take GWAR to a club playing mid-90s trance and then ditch them.
